Enough toilet talk. trip report, Killington today. Wow, 5" of fresh at the top of Superstar, had first chair, little firm right off but softened nicely. Left truck at Bear for ride back. OL was unbelievable snow, ROTD and last ROTD. Skied with Twiggy, 78 years young and could put a lot of you guys to shame!

Twiggy is the man and he is funny too. His wife is very nice too.

I’d have to say preferential treatment. When one person or group does something wrong and has to pay consequences while another gets off scot-free because of who they are or who they know.

start a poll. let the masses decide! nothing incites a crowd like a public lynching.....

2knees, I appreciate the fact that you like being entertained by people flaming, but I ain’t startin no drama queen thread.

Example:

Dude 1- “I’m leaving and never coming back cause Mod 1 sucks.”

Mod 1 – “Yeah, well that’s the way it is and you suck.”

Sap 1 – “Don’t leave Dude 1, it wouldn’t be the same without you. You add a lot.”:beer:

Suckup 1 – “Mod 1 is one of the nicest guys on this board and very fair, I say good riddance to Dude 1.”

Sap 2 – “Dude 1, don’t leave dude you rule.”:beer:

Dude 1 – “FU Suckup 1”.

Peacemaker 1 – “Boy we really need snow.”:snow:

Mod 1 – “I discussed your situation with the other mods and they all agree that the action taken was appropriate.”

Dude 1 – “That’s cause all you mods think you’re the internet police and don’t want freedom of speech..”

Sap 3 – “Yeah, it’s a free country.”:beer:

Suckup 2 –“It’s a free country, but a this is a private site. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Dude 1, nobody will miss you.”

Peacemaker 2 – “Somebody here needs to ski.”:spread:

The thread goes on all day and into the next and fizzles out. Dude 1 leaves, he may or may not return in the future. The thread was entertaining, but gets old and everyone feels worn out by it and wants to move to something else.

If that’s what you want 2knees you’re going to have to start it up yourself.

Study Shows 12 Percent Increase in Helmet Usage in 2008/09
More Than Two-Thirds of Kids 14 and Under Wearing Helmets.

LAKEWOOD, Colo., June 3, 2009 - According to the 2008/09 NSAA National Demographic Study, helmet usage among skiers and riders nationwide increased 12 percent over the previous season. Last season, 48 percent of all skiers and riders were wearing a helmet at the time of being interviewed, up from 43 percent during the 2007/08 season. In comparison, only 25 percent of skiers and snowboarders wore helmets during the 2002/03 season. The annual Demographic Study is compiled from more than 130,000 interviews of skiers and riders nationwide. The study also showed that:

* 77 percent of children 9 years old or younger wear ski helmets;
* 66 percent of children between 10 and 14 wear ski helmets;
* 63 percent of adults over the age of 65 wear ski helmets;
* Helmet usage by skiers and boarders aged 18 to 24 is currently 32 percent, representing a 78 percent increase in usage for this age group since the 2002/03 season, when only 18 percent wore helmets.

In addition, overall ski helmet sales (adults and kids) have increased 43 percent over the past two years, dating back to the 2006/07 ski season. Sales of adult ski helmets alone increased 50 percent since the 2006/07 season, according to the SnowSports Industries of America (SIA) annual Retail Audit.

NSAA and its member resorts promote the use of helmets. NSAA views skiing and boarding in a controlled and responsible manner – not helmets only – as the primary safety consideration for all skiers and boarders. This fall, NSAA will be launching a new initiative designed to encourage all kids 14 and under to wear ski helmets. NSAA has set a goal of near-universal helmet usage for all children by 2012.
