Checked one out at the ski show last year. It has some interesting/useful non-truck like features. It seems to be a decent combo of SUV and truck. There is a trunk size storage compartment below the pickup bed; the space behind the front seats is decent, the seat folds up to carry stuff inside. It's not ugly to me, but I drive a Pilot. Although right now I'm frustrated by the repair costs of my 2004 Pilot (2000 last year; 1400 yesterday). :puke:Not what I expected from a Honda. Never thought I'd say it, but I should've done an extended warranty!

Go with a FJ Cruiser. True off road vehicle that will go through any snow depths. I did not even pull into 4WD until snow was over 6". It went thorugh 3' of snow on Dunlop Grand Treks like it wasn't there.

Tacoma=rust

Was in a friends Tacoma last night... 100,000+ mile - didn't notice any rust...

Tacoma's (96 - 01 I think) have been recalled because the frame rusts out. All you have to do is go in and they check it out. If it's rusted out enough they give you 150% of the book value (and additional discounts if you buy a new one). If not your warranty is extended for 5 years on the frame. My dad got $12k for his 97 last year. Not a bad trade-in on an 11 year old truck.

I don't think many other companies would do that. If I were in the market for a truck I would definitely get a Tacoma. Best small truck.

My dad has a Ridgeline, and these are his favorite features. He can fit 2 sets of Golf clubs underneath the bed, and have room in the actual bed for all sorts of stuff. I took it for a test drive once . . . It drives like a normal truck, nothing special. I don't find it to be that ugly, but I did at the beginning. Maybe it grew on me.

Thanks.

After 2k in repairs on the saab in the past 2 months may be time for a new vehicle and Ridgeline is high on the list. 4dr Tacoma could be an option.

Hate to get rid of a car after dropping 2k in repairs on it but I have that feeling that it won't be the last of the costly repairs.
