Feeding the ski jones....

This morning while I was at the gym, this commercial came on. I actually had not seen it before though it's not new... definitely feeds into the ski jones, though in a somewhat odd way.

The skis look very short for downhill skis and wide too, but I think I saw the Head logo on the tips. Just a critique.

The street that winds(can't remember name) would be fun. It would be like skiing Upper Cannon.

He is wearing what looks like a speed skiing suit and helmet too. Granted the parking meters would need a SL ski.

Guy in the Audi commercial was definitely on center mount twin tips. First time I saw it it was good stoke, but something about the ending was very anticlimactic for me.

All this summer when we have had the TV on in the shop it has been tuned to regular shows on tv. This week we now have a somewhat steady flow of customers coming in so we broke out all of the ski/board vids. I have not seen any of these since April. I have just been sitting there watching sweet sking vids and wishing I was out on the slopes.....

New Audi Ad

As I sat watching the news this morning, an add came on.

You're looking uphill where a street crests and drops out of sight.

A skier in race garb in a tuck comes over a hill..... *jaw drops, coffee stars to spill*

The skier (obviously CGI or some other effects) is carving up the street in between cars, in between cable cars (so now you figure it's San Fran)....sparks fly up as he crosses the tracks.

He comes to the bottom of the hill and skids to a stop. Snow (or whatever) flies up and obscures the skier.

As the debris clears...the Audi appears where the skier stood.

I don't know what the ad was for *SMIRK*

I was too busy wiping up the spilled coffee.
