Shaun White just isn't nice. Doesn't give anyone else a chance.

Seriously, the guy is nasty. It's almost gotten to the point that the only halfpipe run I pay attention to is his, because everyone else is a letdown.

I was skiing tonight but got home at about 9:45 and was looking through the guide and saw it was on so now I'm watching it. I've only seen the snowboarding superpipe and it's pretty impressive. I don't know how you know which side is up during these tricks.

I had the "pleasure" of watching Shaun White's face slam on the deck of the 1/2 pipe on about a 15 foot wide TV at a sports bar in Boston tonight  Kind of wishing I only saw that on my blackberry screen and not the huge screen - ugly face hit, but that guy is amazing! Still wins the gold, and then has a really good, fun interview afterwards

Watched tonight at work as well... the big air jam session was just amazing. these guys are nuts. If you watched it you have to be in awe. This Bobby Brown guy was crazy...who knew Whitney Houston would be so inspirational...and the rest TJ Shiller, Jossi Wells, Elias Ambuhl....phenomenal.... plus those guys who jump with skidoo's????...get the room at Bellevue Hospital ready. We've been gearing up for the Olympics at work...it's gonna be insane. Whistler here i come!!!

Anyone else notice that a lot of the Big Air competitors are wearing their goggles under their helmet?

It's a style thing. A lot of freestyle kids do it now. I've been wearing them under my helmet for a while now.

That hit was nasty. He took the sled immediately back to thte top and did the practice run again witth the same trick. That takes some cajones. Then they showed him watching the replay of it a few times and he just laughed.

The jam session ws pretty sick too with some guy throwing down a 1440 with a couple of flips in it.

that actually started last year. Bit of controversy with it, because supposedly it alters the fit ot the helmet so as to reduce the effectiveness.

Not skiing or boarding but the guys on the sleds are pretty sick. Saw one guy crash Friday night where the snowmobile just missed landing on top of him.

As to the question of Olympics or X Games, I guess I'm still old fashioned and prefer the Olympics. They are both entertaining.

This is soooooooo much more fun to watch than the olympics. Better events. Skiier X, Boarder X, slopestyle......... That stuff at the olympics is just plain boring.
