This is soooooooo much more fun to watch than the olympics. Better events. Skiier X, Boarder X, slopestyle......... That stuff at the olympics is just plain boring.

Not to knock you, but Skier X and Boarder X are olympic events. Look for "Skier cross" and "Boarder Cross".

Not sure if the course will be as crazy as the one in Aspen was, but they are Olympic events.

My point was just that the X-Games are much more fun to watch. I don't need to watch dudes in tights dancing on ice.

I watched some of this last week. The half pipe qualifier was pretty cool. It's amazing how much air the boarders are getting these days. White is realy tallented; he does some incredible stuff.

I also saw the snowmobile freestyle jumping. Man, those guys have some balls! To do backflaps on a machine that size just amazes me.

I'm with you on the 'dudes in tights dancing on ice'... I personally can't stand the amount of coverage that figure skating gets compared to the other sports in the winter games, but I really enjoy watching some of the other stuff:

Speed Skating (both short and long track appeal to me, though for different reasons)
Bobsled
Luge
Skeleton
Downhill & Super G (to a lesser extent GS, and slalom doesn't do much for me at all)
Moguls
Skier cross
Boarder cross
Halfpipe
Curling
Ice Hockey

The X Games also hold a lot of events that I really enjoy watching that I don't get much other opportunity to see... I think they're both great...

My only hope is that the Olympic coverage can be as good as the X Games coverage. (i.e. less of the human drama interest stories with 20 minute training videos / interviews and show more of the sports, but we can only wait and see on that).

that actually started last year. Bit of controversy with it, because supposedly it alters the fit ot the helmet so as to reduce the effectiveness.

Some of the newer helmets are made for the goggles to go under. I started wearing mine under last year when I got a helmet designed for it.

I watched the Winter X Games yesterday for the first time. Saw Snowmobile Adaptive X event where the one guy sort of tipped his sled and then had to wait for the crew to come out and reattach his prosthesis before he could continue.

Pretty amazing stuff.

That's what I was trying to understand. Seems to create a large gap between the brim of the helmet and the top of the goggle and just looks damn uncomfortable.

Seriously? That's gotta be as exciting as watching fenc ... er bowling. ;-)
Actually, once you get to know a little about it, curling is pretty interesting. A lot of strategy, and a lot of finesse.
I was inthe shop a weekago and there had some Smith Fuse goggles that I beleive were designed to be worn this way. Not sure if that means they go with the Fuse helmets by Giro or what.
No connection between the goggles and the helmet. It's not the goggles that are designed specially, it's the helmet.
