Looking for first hand accounts of downtown lodging in Park City. Had a heart to heart with the gf and she wasn't as into Steamboat as I thought she was, so instead of going to Steamboat in March, we are going to Park City, primarily to ski at Deer Valley (her choice).
I'm okay with that because I think Park City is a great town for a romantic retreat, and because I have had good experiences with the bumps at Deer Valley.
She has stated her desire to stay in-town in PC, so I am looking for (most likely) a hotel that isn't outrageous that is close to the action and close to the shuttle. I already did a fair amount of research trying to find a place that will throw in lift tickets, but, much to my disappointment, couldn't find any. Only tickets being thrown around are for PCMR itself.
Also was disappointed to see that the deal where you trade your boarding pass for a lift ticket is blacked out for our arrival date (March 18th). Seems unfair for them to be constantly bragging about their access and this deal and then to have it blacked out for most of the season.
Anyway, any lodging recommendations would be appreciated. Their is a romantic lilt to this trip, so I don't mind paying for something reasonable, but I also am not going to go crazy. Cheers!
