Skied a few hours with my 4 year old. Lots of fresh snow making all over the place. Plus blue bird skies, little wind and the horses for Wild West Day made it a winner for both my daughter and me. Here's the best part though:
At one point at the Over Easy/Tom's/Papoose merge, I asked if she wanted to try Papoose for the first time. Her response, "Are the bumps that way?"
She did 3 runs through the entire Exhibition field. Crashed a bunch and just laughed it off. Tons of fresh snow making in there. Some flat ice too, but overall excellent snow. People including a lot of little kids were all over the moguls.
Worked NASTAR in the afternoon. It was quiet so I was able to get in 6 runs through the course (2 on bump skis, 4 times on some race skis Shannon lent me). I am so horrible at carving/racing. Pace set was 20.22 and the best I could manage was 26.05. Lame. It is fun though, and I definitely would like to improve. Overall, a great day/weekend of skiing at the mighty Sundown.
