NE till spring sounds good for the bump plan-- the longer the better and no death cross to EX (or unwittingly dropping through the woods into an oncoming snow cat during evening grooming hour), as do both proposed Jan. bump comp layouts. The Temptor flats prior to the headwall (still cracks me up "breaking" temptor down--) was a real downer-- unless you had ice skates-- and the length of the headwall was limiting (as were the lack of lights at the bottom last season-- unless you were into the hardcore blind night ice bumps carrying speed from the skating rink above)... I won't drop names...

Bottom line-- bumps anywhere will work-so long as we have them AND it wouldn't hurt to get a few more days/nights like 12.19.08-- last year lacked that- at least for me-- bad timing, etc.

Other than that-- Jones level rising---

Yep I agree....If we cant have gunny..neaster is the best choice..less likely to develop those wall moguls that get formed on temptor

People are allowed to change their minds. Perhaps they just needed 1 season more of Temptor bumps to see your way.

Do you have a link to that discussion? I seriously don't remember it. I'd like to see what points were brought up about Temptor vs Nor'Easter last year, but I can't it...

I think he's [post="492115"]referring to me[/post] "jumping all over him".

That's my feeling. Despite some major effort with a TON of snowmaking, Temptor kinda never got good last year. If anything, going back to N'E will be a change of pace. Hopefully someday we'll have more terrain so that we can get a long run of steeper bumps. Steep moguls are something I need a lot of work on so it would nice to have something to practice on close to home.

Personally I'll take whatever bumps they make. I always liked the NE bumps and was honestly a little bummed when they started going to Temptor from the start. That said I did appreciate the steeper aspect of Temptor. For whatever reason it did seem like Temptor never really got 'great' last year (despite valiant efforts), it seemed like it was better the year before. I think NE will be easier to keep in better shape, plus the continuous run will be nice (and it'll be flatter to appease my gaperness ;) ).

So, in short, I'm not going to get all worked up about it. If they build be some half decent bumps somewhere I'll be happy. An added bonus would be if they found a way to provide me with a way to practice airs without having to miss out on a mogul run (ie; not going through the terrain park).
