More often than not, when I find an empty, on map run, once I've gone down down it a couple of times, everyone comes. Well, it's a rhetorical question. Maybe I'll wear a sign: "This stunt is performed by professionals. Do not try this at home" :spin:

What are you talking about?
I have yet to see such a trail where nobody skis, especially now when so many ski areas are still operating with limited open trail. If it's open, people will ski it.

I've had both experiences.

I've skied runs repeatedly nearly alone, but these are usually runs that are hard to get to, or have a long run out, or some other sheeple repellent.

On the other hand, I remember finding and skiing a gorgeous run one hardpack day that had guns going the entire length. No one was skiing it, it was cold, and I was dressed for it. The snow turned out to be dry and excellent, and I started lapping it. Unfortunately there was a lift nearby, and once people saw someone was skiing it, they had to try it too. Next thing I knew I had 40 friends to ski it with.

Bill I'm pretty sure they just saw you skiing so awesomely from the chairlift on that trail, making it look like sooooo much fun, that they all just had to "try that trail that one dude is slaying over there"

Amirite?

I've experienced it

It's called Quantum Solace. What the beach boyz sang as "good vibrations", can also be called the funny attraction at a distance force, emitted by individual humans connecting to nature and resulting in a attraction generated force wave:popcorn:.

Ha! Wouldn't that be sweet. You can usually find me on the trail side looking for my ski and helmet!

Tropic is on to something. I actually think the behavior is directly proportional to the brand of beer on tap

At K last week I stumbled upon Panic Button which was being blown top to bottom..total whiteout...I was the only one on it ...then a few show up next lap..then more..soon a bunch of us are flying down it..or not as some couldn't figure out how to navigate through it...

I'm not ashame to admit being one of those follower myself.

Same in Waterville, I was lapping the top lift but I didn't realize there's a trail off to the right of the chair until I saw some skiers popping out on my 2nd or 3rd run. Immediately, I need to go there to check it out!

Once I found out the snow was better there, I kept lapping it! And then, others saw ME and did the same... ;)

This happened to me today at Magic. There was a rope up at the top of Up Your Sleeve and Medium, but it wasn't the whole way across, only to block off a big gully near a water pipe. I followed the lines someone else had made and figured out where to go. I made fresh tracks on UYS for a few runs, but it soon became a popular place...
