I have been thwarted by kids soccer and home improvement every weekend since bmmc. I see the familiar snake in SS already in the pics. For those who've skied ss late season you know the signs. What say you, next weekend and another or just next weekend or just plain done?

Hell or high water, that's what it'll take for them not to make it. They're out to prove a point this year, that's obvious, and in year's past I've seen them open with far less.

Probably some walking/dirt skiing required, but part of the character of late season skiing..planning on Friday to end my season. Steveo

After seeing your pics of the conditions that they've opened with in the past, I'd say yes, but SS may resemble those pics after a week of warm rainy weather. I'm done, have fun those of you who make it there.

True, warm rainy weather would do them in. Don't let the pics throw you, those bare spots were only certain areas. Others had far more snow.

We'll see how the week unfolds. Still a good 4 - 10 feet on most of the trail.

I've seen much worst...memories of June 1, 1993 comes to mind. That was a case of spinning in June, no matter what. It was a cold day, no one was there, etc. I don't even think we were 200 for the June 1 slalom.

We'll see how the week unfolds. Still a good 4 - 10 feet on most of the trail.

Interesting and good comparison. That was roughly my observation from MSS...a quote from what I typed last night. The TR is still in draft mode.

Snowdepth was still important, we are talking about approximately 4-10 feet along most of the trail.

I was there yesterday and there sections where the snow coverage is a narrow passage. With all the ground visible - the sun will heat up those areas and rapidly increase melting. There is a heavy rain day in the forecast and a few warmer days ahead! That being said - there is enough to push around to create coverage if need be. My guess there will be one more weekend as is and for June 1st they will groom it to create coverage.

I will skip next weekend, but if they open June 1st then we are there, otherwise we are done untill the reopen in late Oct or Nov at Killington!

Not looking too good as of today. The lower section is just about disconnected.Just watched a guy make tele turns on the cam.

I just looked too. Not looking great for them. Looks like my goal for June lift serviced may not be.

Not this year, in the East at least. But hey, it has only happened one day in the last 16 seasons and that was 11 years ago, it would be a surprise if it doesn't happen.

BTW I've managed liftserved turns in June 4 times in the last 9 seasons, it all comes down to how much you really want to.
