Who cares? Are you just looking for things to complain about?

The snow there now is the best in the Catskills!

If you went into a store and they still had their decorations up almost a month later, wouldn't you be concerned about what wlse mgt isn't paying attention to that you can't see? and who is running the place........ ever hear the song about the redneck leaving their Christmas lights up all year long........................... I'll bet they are down now......... they are making snow on 44 however!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not so much. It happens I see and hear expensive advertising all time in NYC for events that happen months ago.

I find myself in the rare position of agreeing with both diametrically opposite views.

interesting point - Hunter was still advertising something that happened at the mountain the previous week on Sunday at the 6 pack electronic sign. I can't recall the event, but it is not the first time I have seen that. I guess we can just hope they rotate the beer kegs on a first in first out basis

Funny...I used to work in the food industry. Sold equipment and food for years.

Some of the most elegant and luxurious restaurants were often the worst health code violators. Appearances are most often deceiving.

Hunter's foodservice is decent and reasonable as ski areas go. You seem to go there a lot, why do you go if you have so many concerns?

I fall into the who cares element. But do they have reindeer and stuff setup or just Christmas lights. If the latter that's par for the course for any winter destination.

It was January 25th, and my Christmas Decorations were still up at home. So What. I remedied the situation on the interior on January 26th. I'll be damned if I am climbing on my snow covered, frozen roof to take the lights off of the house though.

I'm with you JW!

My exterior stuff is down (took those down before a snowstorm burried them right after New Years. The inside of my house still looks like Santa's Village though! (It's ski season afterall and extra time is devoted to skiing, not de-decorating in my book! ;) :)

Plus, my in-laws are coming to watch my kids for a few days later this week while my wife and I are in Boston at a convention, and I figure that my in-laws need something to due while the kids are in school during the day! :) This way they can "earn" all of my beer, Bourbon and Vodka they'll drink while at my house for a few days!! :)

Wreaths on all the doors by the ski shop (I never enter this way but someone pointed it out to me), a huge red bow over the stage and misc items scattered about , that may of just been missed. But - they are making snow on 44

This might start to bother me...after I take mine down. Which won't be anytime soon.

wouldn't you be concerned about what wlse mgt isn't paying attention to that you can't see?

I guess I'd assume that they are paying attention to skiing not decorations. I can say for sure that the presence, or lack of, Christmas decorations has never factored even remotely into my skiing experience. To each their own.
