Its part liking VT and having passes to use in VT. Really want to go to Sugarbush and use the pass I have for friday, after that I Have SKI VT passes to use. Havnt gotten to use them yet. Would like to go also saturday but this sat is going to be soo packed I think.

Personally I'd save the passes for spring skiing and do at least an overnighter rather than spend more time driving than skiing. Do a day trip to the Cats, while there are great conditions to be had there. Just my .02.

You won't get me to a ski resort on a weekend, especially this weekend. I hate crowds and long lines.

don't want to ride resorts this weekend. but I will if it gets me there tomorrow : ) Trying to track the open terrain "woods" especially. Since you said NY. 1 day trip to bellayare or hunter is a new thought. I do 1 day VT trips a bunch all the way to killington regulary. It only works money wise with 2to4 people. It costs 160-180 round trip gas and tolls aprox.

I'm out for Berk. Everyone in my family is sick. Was hoping it would blow over by today. So bummed. Have fun!

Skied Shawnee Peak last night. It was absolutely puking snow all evening. Had to be a top 5 evening for sure. About a foot by the time I left and no one was there to help me rip it up. I did my best though to track everything out. Stayed till they shut the lifts down and then skied right to my truck across the parking lot. Love it when I can do that! I will have to go back tonight and ski the leftovers. Hope everyone gets out and enjoys it!

Going up to Wachusett Mountain and Jiminy Peak Saturday and Sunday. Both should have epic conditions. 14-18" at Jiminy, 12" at Wachusett.

Jiminy will most likely groom it all down. Especially with the ensuing holiday crowd.

Thinking Magic tomorrow, was also considering Berkshire East but looking at forecasts seems like Magic might be getting a few more inches of snow overnight and during the day tomorrow.
16-18"Pretty sweet dump but whats up with this?
On the Red Chair front, work continues on it but please be aware that it cannot be guaranteed for Saturday, so be prepared for longer lines than normal with the holiday if Red cannot be certified by then.
The Red has not been certified this year yet?

I guess not. They needed a part and I'm pretty sure they have already received it. What the delay is now I'm not too sure.

Was going to call out and do Elk today but my backup at work already took the afternoon off. It ends up that this is a good thing because I take the part of the PA turnpike that's totally hosed with a 75 car accident. Sunday with the family at Jack Frost should be cool. Way cooler than that traffic.
