In previous bad snow years they've moved the CR challenge to Paradise.

I don't recall that anytime recently. I remember at least the past few years (and this year as well) they made a statement in the event info they would not move it:

Event Info:
• Where: Lift Line, Castlerock (it’s Castlerock or bust—this event doesn’t move!)

And the event info currently states it is cancelled:
Castlerock Extreme 2026: CANCELLED due to conditions

Ikon used to be good for discounts at a lot of the Sugarbush restaurants which I appreciated but I think I'm 0/10 this season in finding a scenario in which it works. It seemed like it was always "good yesterday" or only when there was a harvest moon.

For the '26-27 season of the 17 resorts participating in the, "Up to 15% OFF FOOD, BEVERAGE & RETAIL" Sugarbush isn't listed as one of them.

To the groups comments from earlier in the week, this might seem to also suggest that more of these unfortunate decisions are made locally.

Even this year it seemed like there were a lot less places at SB where you could use the Ikon discount.

Pretty ugly out there today. And gatehouse chair was closed for mechanical all afternoon. Saw no one even working on it.

Yikes. I think this is the Liftpocalypse, everyone.

GH down all afternoon (Saw it kept stopping on the cam), a fuse that apparently is very difficult to replace on GMX, and NR chasing a tower sensor fault.

Heard it was more substantial than just a fuse for GMX. Could be out for a much longer duration. Hope they can get NRE running to salvage the rest of ME's season.

Attempted to go to GML for Thursday apre activities but the band was cancelled and 2 other people at the bar. GML attracts a large crowd on Thursdays, many of who don't even ski. This is evident by band booked for 2 Thursdays in April after ME lifts stop spinning. Aborted GML plans and went to Rumble's... good thing since Castlerock Pub was closed as well.

Multiple groomers out there right now tackling Lincoln Peak. Hope its a somewhat-skiable surface tomorrow!

Yikes. I think this is the Liftpocalypse, everyone...

What the hell happened while I was gone in Utah all this time? Lifts crapping out everywhere..all the snow "the east coast was getting"..gone? Bands cancelled..

Rolled into town after the 5 day drive back, unpacking car carrier as some salty dude walks by with skies on shoulder- 'worst ski conditions in 10 years!'. Hahaha.

It's good to be back home at the Bush..

TheBushReport is saying there was a fire in the GMX electrical room. Accurate / any more details?
