Very cool, I worked the evening shift for a couple years and skied mid week during the day. I met a lot of very active older people doing so, very inspirational. Happy early birthday Warp! We'll have to try to hook up for some turns next year. Maybe I can run up to Titus on a Whiteface trip, or you could come down. Or, Snow Ridge after a dump does not suck. Rambo and I hit it on a Friday after a foot, it was one of the highlights of my season.

Awesome ... Happy birthday. I had a hard time dealing with 46 last year. :???:

I skied with someone that was 69 in Zermatt in August 2011. Awesome skier; lifetime ski instructor (TR was written, but is still in draft mode.). I skied with John Fripp in his 80s (there is a trail named after him at Tremblant). He was still skiing at warp speed when he stopped due to family concerns. John skied Masters as well as another people from Southern Ontario is his 80s who showed up for the Ontario Championships near Ottawa a few years ago.

A few inspirational people for you Warp Daddy and other:

Wurtele twins - still skiing at 91 : http://madpatski.wordpress.com/2011/01/21/friday-night-video-the-fabulous-wurtele-twins/
Sylvain Saudan is 76 and still active : http://madpatski.wordpress.com/2011/09/23/friday-night-video-sylvain-saudan/

Jackrabbit Johanssen passed away at 111 back in 1987 and was still active : http://madpatski.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/friday-night-video-herman-jackrabbit-smith-johannsen/
Émile Allais passed away last October at 100. He skied for his 100th : http://madpatski.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/friday-night-video-emile-allais/

One of the Wurtele twins is John Eaves' mom. Here she is stepping out of a plane at 90.

that is crazy!

I was actually at A-Basin on May 11th, I heard someone announce that over the PA, although I didn't actually see her.

Forget skiing, I hope I can stand by 100 (or even make it there while not being totally senile)

The key to aging with grace

“Stay busy, get plenty of exercise, and don’t drink too much. Then again, don’t drink too little.” Jackrabbit Johannsen.

Gotta love it

(Thanks for the info on him MatPatSKi)
