12/31/2010 Teardrop Trail

For those of you not familiar the Teardrop Trail was cut on the west side of Mt Mansfield in the 1930's by the CCC. The day's conditions were a nice packed powder with good cover. It was a steep skin up with lots of zig-zagging. I'd hate to to break trail on this run in deep snow.

Looks awesome! The snow wasn't super wet and heavy?

I was at Killington on the 31st and the powder in the trees had turned to very heavy, sticky, wet snow. I packed up after 1 day and went home.

No the snow wasn't that bad but you did need to be careful.
