Wow, that's awesome. I remember having one of those, but I haven't seen it in like 5 years...wish I could find it. Do you have hi-res scans of it you can email? I'd like to make a good quality printout.

Thank you,

Kevin

Please send me a PM and give me an E-mail address where you want me to send it to. I have a high quality scanner, but the file needs to be large for good resolution.

The 88-89, 89-90 maps are also topographical and fortunately I save many of each. I have K-maps for nearly 20 years of skiing.

Too bad more places don't do that, and that K stopped. Why, I wonder? They may be a bit more expensive to print, I guess, but I wonder if they can also show the truth behind the lies?

Somebody grab a topo of Ski Denton!

Yeah, seriously, the way trail maps are drawn really don't make any sense.

Why don't all ski areas use topo maps? Soo much better.

So that map was when sky ship went all the way to the summit, and before the Ram's Head lift was shortened... what was it, because of wind?

I'm a huge fan of the topo based maps. IMHO, complicated trail networks need some sort of topo based map additional to their rendered out, customer friendly, version.

I would bet because the average person doesn't have good map skills (not to mention understanding what topo maps are) and they need something that somewhat represents the area 3-dimensionally so they can figure out that Ovation is a steep trail...

If you can't read a topo map, you should stay indoors.

Elitist, perhaps, but come on, make a little effort!

Yes, I agree. It's not brain surgery.

There's more skill involved in driving to the mountain (even poorly) than there is reading a topo map.

I sent the highest resolution scans of the 1989-1990 Killington topo map that I could make to Highway Star a few days ago. I hope to get a copy back that has been edited with photoshop and pieced together,
I will then post it here.
