You are a better man than I to tend to kids on a powder day. I would have cut them loose before their boots were on.

The youngest had a time at first getting going. He would be behind his brothers, so I would grab him by the back of his jacket, and he would hug my leg. Then I'd "lock" his board against my ski and catch him up to his brothers. The faster I went the more he laughed and giggled. His last run was fun to watch. He didn't quite get how to turn and stop, so he'd just wipe out and roll right over with the momentum and get right back and going again. I am pretty certain he planned it just like that.

After it was all done, all three grandsons had a great time, and so did I. They want to go again next year. Maybe they don't realize next year is only a few days away.....

Sounds like it's getting quite sweet up there. Gonna get up there for the day on this Sunday. There'll probably be a huge crowd as it looks like people are booking it through the ringer but if worse comes to worse I'll just have to find the best hiding spot (probably North Peak and Aurora) and just wait it out. BSSC filled up the SR bus I'm taking on Wednesday (4 seats were remaining when I called Wednesday and I took 2 of them) and they added a 2nd Jay Peak bus on Saturday that sold out on the day they added it (which is Thursday).
