Hey All,
I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain. I pulled into the lower lot at 7:38AM and Atomic Jeff was already booted up. As usual we had the first civilian 6-pack and got to ski some sa weet fresh cord on Razors edge. The snow was way better than yesterday morning. We skied Razors the first 4 runs, then we ran into Terry who was on A-Jeff GS skis which he bought yesterday. Razors edge was more hardpacked than Razors but not bad and Paradise had nice snow in the middle section. I was jealous of all the spray Atomic Jeffs Public Enemys were spraying so I went to my car and switched my Elan S12s that are 176cm in length and 67mm underfoot with my Nordica Blowers which are 193cm in length and 110mm underfoot..not only are my blowers stable in the piles of sugar but then I could spray everybody I passed with sugary icy chunks.
Throughout the morning, crowds were pretty light for a weekend. The trails were pretty crowded but there were no real liftlines. We joked with the patrollers stationed at the top of Paradise and they were in good spirits. I saw two kids pulled over by a Redcop and I yelled,"You guys should know better" as I flew by. As far as I know..no chases today although the patroller at the top joked that he was going to chase us. Near the end of our session we ran into NazarethSkier Jay. Pretty cool that he just signed up for PASR and he got to meet the coolest PASR in history and A-Jeff. We finished out the session with Razors, Paradise, Switchback, Dreamweaver and our final run down lazy Mile which was crazy mile with a ton of carnage and a kid on a leash. Challenge is still rock solid ice bumps but alot of people skied it today..or should I say..slid down it. In total I skied 20 runs for a total of 21,000 vertical feet by 11AM. No BMDI today but I'm going to make some nachos soon. If we get dumped on, I'll most likely be up at Blue for opening Bell, anybody else???
No matter how you slice it or dice it...today was JADIP..Just Another Day In Paradise...
