Looks like the the northern big boys won't being getting much of this one.

haha.... I got this two weeks ago. I was afraid to tell anyone in this forum b/c it could have cause a snow drought, you know, the clits crowd might give me a taunting I will never forget :p.

If we get record snowfall in southern NE, I might have get another toro to keep ullr content. maybe higher horse power or more bells and whistle.

5 hp, but the thing packs a punch. I have a medium size driveway, I didn't want to spend the money for more HP that I would never need. I think newer models has the Tecumseh Snow King engine (similar to Areins), Capacity Per Minute (1800 lbs) and Throw Distance (30') is about the same as the 6.5 hp Areins. The Areins was something I wanted to get but I knew I was going to get lay offed a couple of months ago so I didn't pull the trigger. Once I had a verbal offer for another job, I decided to get the thrower. The Arein was gone, what was left was the Toro.

No regrets yet, the thrower is small enuf to fit in my shed and still throws the snow clear over to the other side of the street if I wanted to. I'm waiting to see how it handles wetter snow.
