Knowing you can not trust what the web sites say or state about their snow making capabilities...again asking those of you AZ'ers who either live or drive by this area:are they infact making snow on more than just 2 beginner trails? Thanks, I appreciate it.

Skied at the Ridge last night and will be there again tonight...for what it's worth the conditions were actually pretty good. The Face, and Sante Fe were the only non-beginner trails open but they were blowing like crazy(for them). Seeing as I live only 8 minutes away it's a great way to make some turns after work.

Not sure if that was directed at me...but yes it's about 25 minutes...I live on NY Side of New Fairfield and if I don't hit the one traffic light I can make it 7 minutes...yes I've timed it...The ridge is convienent I can live the house make 6-8 runs and be home within an 1hr 15minutes. It's not the greatest but it's perfect to make some turns and my wife likes the fact that she can get out and make some turns any time the mood strikes. We got in on the early discounts and got 2 season passes for $200 can't beat that.

Thanks Morewood for the update

I live about 25-30 minutes away. As a full time working mom, etc, this place is close enough to ski everyday if I wanted to ,after work. Mohwak is a better choice, but certainly not as close for me. And, for those of you familiar with Route 7,which is terrible during rush hour times...and just about every other time with the construction taking place. Thanks again...will go Friday after work now that I know the update...I can't wait to ski this entire weekend, nevertheless...Also... P.S. Just won free lift tickets again through realconditions.com. So check this website out and sign up if interested.

Went again last night and conditions were excellent...my wife commented on how she couldn't find any ice and the trails were covered side to side and fairly deep...plus with the light snow falling it was incredible. I was able to run gates with the ski team...2 course on slalom course down the Face and one GS course down Fawn Meadow and Sante Fe.I spoke to one of the snowmakers and their plan is to have Competion Bowl open this weekend. Again Thunder Ridge is what it is...I made 15 runs in an 1hr 45mn skied right onto the lifts...Tonight it will be a little more croweded but it should be ok.
