Last report from Sunday looked good; but a lot can happen in 5 days.

Thanks. Nutz. Going out with a speed freak who wants to travel within a couple hours of here. He likes to do groomer laps, basically; not my thing but was hoping to go somewhere I can mix it up, get something for me. He suggested Loon, but I've grown to dislike the Loon crowds in the last couple of years and the McGeneric trail style. It's either that or downsize our expectations.Roark and I were there on Monday. We did not ski the ski area much perse but what little we did ski was either fast hard pack or irregular bumps. Mitt was beat to shit on the main routes and even some not so main routes. That said, with exception of a single groomer run, we got boot to thigh deep every run.But we were way way off the map and even that is long gone by now. They reported 3" of new within the past 24 hours. Should be pretty typical mid-week conditions this weekend for Cannon one month before mid-winter.
Burke is fully open. Tell the speed freak to suck it up an extra 55 minutes. No better place than Burke for a speed freak! Let him rip up the groomers while you parallel him in the woods! No wind at Burke either.
