I won't get into specifics...but today was a great day for me.

I won a satelite tourney in texas hold'em, that gets me a seat for the big dance in a few months at Foxwoods (WPT $10,000 buy-in).

I guess some of my mis-spent youth has paid off. Thanks Grandpa!

Any other poker fans out there?

Not big stakes. Cost me a grand total of $60.00. Hundreds play these tourneys, so the winners get the prize money or in this case, a seat at the final tourney (big).

I wish I could play more often. Would prefer to play in person than online... but I'm not really much for casino gambling.

Yes, Texas hold-em in my mis-spent youth gained me lots of $$ most nights. 5 & 10 then was a $5 ante & $10 raises! I very much enjoyed the social event, the action, and certainly the take home $$. Life is good!!

My neighbor won 200K in the world series of poker last week. He got his entry paid for by partypoker.com, I think. They're sponsoring him again for foxwoods. It pays to be FDNY, partypoker loves the publicity his win got them.
