Smuggs has a T-bar on the bottom of Sterling Mtn.

On a side note the double T-bar at Southington may be carrying its last skiers in the next few weeks. There's some rumors floating around that it's going to be replaced by a chairlift over the summer.

Does Okemo have one on the lower half of their super pipe (or is that a poma)?

You are correct sir.. I guess thats a poma at Burke?(no one mentioned yet)

Just curious why do you think she should ride a t-bar? Are you trying to scare her out of skiing? Or is she skilled enuf to give it a shot, personally I dig surface lifts No wind hold some work though fun

The T at Sugarloaf does not run all the time. Only when it is windy . . . err . . . only when it is really really windy.

That's a great t-bar. Nice and steep, lots of carnage once folks start falling off of it! :-D It used to run all the time before the superquad went in.

I learned at Willard 40+ years ago when all they had were two rope tows and the T-bar.
Okemo in the early '70s when they had mostly Pomas was the place to go on a windy day.

I also have fond(?) memories of the T-bars at Jiminy Peak, Jay Peak, and Dutch Hill. These were self regulating lifts in that if you weren't good enough to stay on till the top then you probably weren't good enough to ski from the top.

We were at Bromley on a Monday last March but of course the T-bar wasn't running weekdays. She did LOVE the rollers and banked turns in their park, so I guess it will be Bromley next Saturday.

I just want her to have a full skiing knowledge and experience. She started at six and by eleven was skiing the Devil's Fiddle at Killington. Last March she did Royal Flush and Double Dipper.

I believe the tomahawk line was originally a T. I also remember hearing about a summit T bar that took you across the top of the ridge.

Nah the tomahawk line is a new line for the current lift. The remains of the T-Bar (drive barn, tower bases, and foundation for return bullwheel) can be found a few trails over to the east. Ive heard about the summit ridge lift, but I cant find any solid proof it was there. I asked my father who used to ski there in the 70's and earily 80's and said he doesn't remember it

Copper has a T that takes you to the back bowls I think. Could be a Poma, some sort of surface lift.
