Not that it has become a bastion of literary expertise, but I have noticed an improvement over the last few years. The articles are better written and they seem to be pandering less to the "dirtbag" (for lack of a better word) segment of the skiing market. Anyone else agree/disagree?

They had a pretty vast re-toolling over the winter. It appears to have worked so far.

I think the change started a couple of years ago when Ski and Skiing came under the ownership of one company. Basically rather than print the same basic magazine twice, they decide to keep Ski in its original "literary class/trash and take Skiing up a notch. Atleast nowadys you're less like to see "f-bombs" in print in Skiing than Ski

Skiing is pretty good. Ski is about real estate and haute fashion, not skiing. But that's my opinion.

Whattya got against dirtbags?

Actually I think Skiing is a decent magazine. I think Ski completely sucks. Now the Ski Journal, that rocks my world.

Who do you consider dirtbags? I'm only asking because I could see it being directed to a bunch of different groups, depending on where you are coming from.
