It was at Shawnee Peak. My fault I was going way to fast for the shadowy sides of the trail. The snow conditions were good, I was carving long sweeping turns, and no one on the trail. I just was going to fast and the drop hit me by surprise.(boy did it ever)

Flat light sucks. If you think otherwise, you need to ski faster :)

Woods and bumps are good places to hang out during flat light. More features to give perspective. In my experience, night skiing rarely has flat light problems.

Flat light, bright light, no light - does not matter. Sliding is sliding. Some of the best runs I have had are at 2am with just moonlight and memory to guide me.

Yep, I agree. We can't seem to find clear goggles either. Most have some tint in them. We like them for night skiing as well.

Since clear lenses are used for night skiing we don't sell them cause we don't have night skiing so perhaps shops at ski hills that have night skiing would stock them and I assume you can get them online. If you just want clear lens for your current goggles try www.prolens.com

If you have Oakleys or buy a pair of Oakleys, you can buy clear lenses for most of their goggles from their site. I did this but found I actually prefer the light persimmon (I think that's the name) lenses that came with them for night skiing.

This is going to come across like real NH frugalism, but here goes. As long as you don't need to fit your goggles over glasses, some of the aerodynamic safety glasses actually provide good wind protection, are affordable, and are clear. The might even have some at Warren's Hardware....
