Cool. Maybe they will have the lifts open until 3 AM like back in the 80's!

I was just speaking to some folks at Sundown about this the other day. They seem pretty confident that Bob will end up with Powder Ridge and that it'll be off of NELSAP by next season. I guess the current owner just won't go away...

Let's start working on Bob now. Change the name to Bump Ridge and bump up the entire ski area. ;-)

Somehow I don't see that happening. We'd be better off, and have more of a chance of, convincing him to make Sundown the 'hard core mountain' and leave all the groomed out cruiser terrain to Powder Ridge... ;)

Just me being selfish. I think PR is a few minutes closer to my house.

This move does speak volumes about the CT ski powerhouse that is Sundown.

Its a lot minutes closer to mine. I'd like to see it put back the way it was when I learned to ski there in the early 80's. Groom the Middlefield run, and bump 747. Maybe even seed it.

I would check out the Ridge if they seeded a bump run.

If they did carry the same bump philosophy over to PR, I would love to see a joint pass.

Leavitt doesn't stand a chance of getting back into this. He's burned all his bridges in Central CT, and I'm sure any judge will keep that in mind when rendering any decision. This is about as close to a done deal as can be.

Sounds like the only hurdle left is a dispute over the value of a parcel of land. I agree though, this is as good as done.

Looks like Powder Ridge will finally come back off NELSAP next season!
