I've unlocked it in case anyone wanted to have a follow-up discussion (per request of a new poster..)
I was going to unlock anyway once the responses were published. This thread will be embedded in the response page at that point to allow for commenting.

thanks for the unlock - much appreciated! :)

question: I've heard the rumors about the golf course going in. Last I had heard (back at the ski show in Boston) was the land swap was about 90% complete. Just wondering how far along things are, if groundbreaking might happen sooner than later, if there's anything new on that front.

thanks, Alex....

Welcome to the boards, kickstand! :) Looking forward to seeing you in here more often. Why not shoot some questions to Ascutney?

and since it's unlocked, one more for you, Alex:

any plans on setting up a forum like SR's? I used to use the RSN Attitash forum from time to time, but those are gone now. Maybe a similar arrangement with the guys from here?

In my experience, Alex is truly a class act. Thank you for complete and well though out responses.

kickstand, Alex provided this response to your first extra question:

The golf course is still on the radar, that I can say for sure. A groundbreaking date is still not set and a lot of that will depend on the weather (believe it or not). The company who will be building the course (if it happens - fingers crossed) is currently working on other course developments and our start date will be dictated by the progress of other courses. So nothing big new, but I have been down at The Fields hitting some golf balls lately (my own, the range opens Memorial Day Weekend) and I'd like to see it happen. Until then, I've started an Adult Pick-up Soccer League that starts June 2 at The Fields of Attitash in Bartlett. Every Thursday night @ 6 pm. All Abilities.

I got a direct answer to my question refreshing. :D Thankx. My family and I will be back. We had a great time this year. The Vertical challenge was run well and information was given well in advance.

I've exchanged a few e-mail with Alex this past season and he gives very straight-forward answers. This Ski Area Challenge is a great idea, and I was particularly interested in Attitash, since I do the majority of my skiing there.

Why does the "Top Notch" double(the red one) not run anymore? The quad does not go high enough.
