Wouldn't call myself a homer even though I have a home mountain and enjoy it. I think its the best with in 45 mins of my house (there are other options) and I spend most weekends and other times there and enjoy the bar (which I think is one of the best at a ski area), but I'm under no illusion that its one of the greatest ski areas in the northeast and I love to ski other places too. But to sum it up I love being able to hit the slopes as often as I do because of it.

Buying your season pass is easier than a weekly billski condition regression analysys with macros and pivot tables.

How silly. I had to go to Los Alamos National Labs and use 105 hours of super computer time in order to execute the "where to go this week" algorithm. After that, I had to build a data warehouse and parallel process millions of data point in order to identify the best deal of the day. After that I fired up National Guard's GPS, to determine down to the millisecond the fastest route to the base lodge.
Now, with thousands of vouchers in-hand, it's become a challenge to use them all. I've now moved from the trifecta model, to a 100 RPD model (resorts per day). This poses a transportation dilemma. I've just taken delivery on fusion matter transporter to move from hill to hill. The only problem is that it always leaves my skis behind.

I appreciate the opportunity to explain the complexity of hobo skiing. Then again, if you read this whole diatribe, you need to get outside and get more skiing in.

(Actually Bill is out skiing. This is his dog Iksllib who writes these annoying notes.).

I guess you could say I am a Wachusett Homer this season... Easy convenient and close.

There's an app for that.

I don't know if I ever qualified as a homer. I skied Sunday River a lot in previous years. This year, I'm skiing more at Loon because of the easier drive. SR still is my "happy place" and I am a great fan of the resort and the people that run it but I don't think I can consider myself a homer anymore.=(
