Back from Sint Maarten/Saint Martin

Well I'm back from another trip in sunny Sint Maarten (11/10-11/17). I have a few more pics from SXM airport. Some of you may remember the pics I had from last years trip. These photos are the real deal and there is no cropping or photoshop work done. This place is amazing!

Thats crazy how far off the ground would you say those jets are while passing over the people? Looks like a hunderd feet or so,

It depends on the size of the aircraft. The bigger ones need to come in slower and lower. The belly of the Air France and KLM I would guess are about 50' above the beach. The AA 757's may be between 75'-100'.

This shows the arrival times of the "Big Birds" coming in.

The Bar is tapped into the control tower so you can hear the controllers and pilots communicating before arrivals and prior to departures over a speaker on thier deck. Very cool!

A little of both. Ironically, my girl was the only woman there that had the guts to do it. I was very proud of her that she has that kind of self confidence.

I met a woman on a sailing excursion during my trip who writes for a newspaper in Florida. She asked me to send her some of my photos for a story she is doing on SXM and she is giving me photo credits. I'm going to be published!

Ah, the Sunset beach bar. They even have the flight tower conversations w/ the planes on the loud speaker in the bar. Place is awesome. The first time I went there, I could not believe it. Awesome Island. We went there 2 years ago. Had a buddy who had a condo at the Simpson Bay Yacht Club. Favorite place on the island was Jimbo's. Lot's of boobies down there, mostly ones that should be covered up. Favorite beach was Mullet Bay, Orient Beach was pretty cool also. Can't wait to go back there.
