If you look closely, under all that enduro-influenced design, you can see Bell's mid-century motorsport heritage in the Super Helmet. Subtly paying homage to a time when engines were restricted by their creator's ability and leather protective gear was quickly abandoned in favor of the much safer hard-shell Bell option.
And, just like that early protective headgear, the Super Helmet is intended to be fully compatible with goggles. A GoggleGuide permits you to easily manage eyewear regardless if you've opted for the safety of goggles on race day or sunglasses for a friendly post-work session with the crew. Included retention arms securely hold straps -- with or without the removable visor installed.
Unlike those first Bell helmets, on the other hand, the Super Helmets in-Mold construction is a far cry from the weighty and hot fiberglass buckets of yesteryear. A polycarbonate Microshell is bonded to an EPS foam liner during manufacturing that creates a super-strong overall structure. Internal reinforcements also allow Bell's designers to push the envelope of ventilation with numerous large intake and exhaust ports (25 to be exact).
If you'd like some more cold, hard data, the Super Helmet meets or exceeds both CE EN1078 and CPSC Bicycle safety standards. There are three sizes available; Large, Medium, and Small, with Bell's simple-to-adjust Speed Dial fit system used to comfortably and securely hold the Super in place. Against your skin, X-Static padding combines a quick-dry, soft surface with an anti-microbial coating to keep the Super smelling fresh ride after ride.
Lightweight Cam-lock Levers ensure quick and effortless fit adjustments, and its lightweight buckle is easy to release after an exhausting ride.
