Berkshire East was a ton of fun over the weekend. I skied nice groomers with the wife Saturday and Sunday. Monday was a lot of fun. There was 5 inches of fresh, heavy but not wet snow on the summit. All the rocks were covered so everything minus the woods was fair game. Upper Cloud was lots of fun.

Beast is suffering from lack of natural snowfall right now. I've skied there through a few el Nino years and I would bet good money Beast will be buried in snow February and March.

I would generally disagree about the snow situation. I was there Sunday, skied Liftline, top and bottom, Jug, lower Tomahawk and part of East Glade and the coverage was quite good for this time of year without any real big snowfalls (minus the usual spots of Jug that get skied off quickly). And with another 5 inches on top of that solid base Sun/Mon the mountain is just about in prime shape in mid-January, so I'd say bring on the snow! I'm sure Monday was a lot of fun up there. Hopefully this R*** in the lower pioneer valley wasn't in that form up there today......

Berkshire East does have a good amount of snow. Natural snow on trails not near snowmaking is thin is what I'm saying. This part of new England is in need of a big storm.

I agree!! This part of New England has missed out on the big coastal storms and those that hit up north.....we're DUE!!!! Since the warmer weather this week won't help in the "preserve the snow category" that the 10 and 20 degree weather did the last couple of weeks.
