Powder, packed powder!
Great day at Berkshire East today! 15 inches of new snow on top of man made snow and mostly bare ground. Conditions were tough due to a hard crust layer but it was still very fun. Upper mountain was far better with less crust and less hidden danger. Lower mountain had more streams, water bars and more crust. Hero skiing everywhere. Aggressive skiing being the best choice to power through the crust and get moving. Falling hurt! Comp, chief, cloud, lift line were all good to mid mountain. Great base for the up coming vacation week. Mountain is closed Monday - Wednesday.
