Conditions: Nothing was forcasted but in my two years of skiing at the the beast, worst weather conditions. Winds that topped out at about 50mph at the summit along with light to moderate snow and freezing fog.

Temperatures where in the twenties but wind chill was probably in the negatives. A thin crust was all over the place. covering up the mashed potatoes that fell the night before. groomed runs were icy of course.

I arrived at 6:00 and stayed until closing time. at around seven they closed the summit lift because empty chairs were hitting lift towers. They kept the west quad open. I was disappointed because i was going to work on my mogul skills that night on flying cloud. nevertheless i hit the park and managed to actually slide a battleship rail.

Went in the lodge. a balanced meal of Powerade, fries, pizza and reeces. after closing time I went around and tried my hand at taking some good photos. my camera is one of those point and shoot ones but i did my best.

Yeah last night was a bit windy! We closed the chair down around 8:00 or so due to the nasty cross wind blowing things all around. Too bad since the mountain was skiing pretty well despite the hard pack. 4-6 coming in tomorrow so hopefully that'll help things out.
