I've never even heard about this "City Voter" website. The voting is probably heavily influenced by where this website has done some sort of advertising. King Pine? Give me a break. 350 ft vert. I have driven by it and it is not even a mountain. It is actually south of Conway in the White Mtn foothills.

I only got it because of a promo mailing from Crotched. Very heavily influenced by TV and radio stations in the Boston area. Apparently, grass root efforts skewed the voting.

That is the first I have heard of King Pine. I guess if it is that good I should cancel my plans and get there this weekend.

Same here...figured that the results would be skewed so I didn't bother to vote. Besides, I like a lot of areas and really can't single out one as the "best".

Did anyone have anything to do with this survey, when it was being done?

There is no info as to how they ran their contest to determine their "winners".

But if King pine has a vertical of 350', and was their winner, then, maybe Sugarbush should move thier Easy Rider slope over there and see if we come in second?

It is 360'.

Pretty sure it was purely based on web based votes. I know Crotched sent out a mailer with 'Vote for us, we've been nominated!'. Maybe they went out to everyone, and it was pretty much up to the mountains to get clicks. Think it was promoted by CBS news in boston of something.
