Best Snowboarding in New England

Being close to Boston doesn't necessarily assume a good mountain - they are usually better the further from Boston. But the original author requested areas within 3 hrs from Boston, of which, Whiteface is almost double that.

Personally, I wouldn't pick a mountain that didn't get 250" of natural snow or better. That puts you in Vermont from Killington northwards. Sugarbush is 3 hours from Boston if you use the Roxbury Gap road. Stowe is a few minutes farther. Jay Peak is more like 3 1/2.

Wildcat is about 3 hours from Boston.
