Management likes that even less. Along the wall on the park side is the poma, which eliminates the possibility of a permanent bump line there. And while skiers have made decent bumps along the opposite wall, mgt is worried about beginners hurting themselves and insist that any bumps get made under the lift.So put the bumps out of the way on the side of the slope and leave them. Similar to what happens at real ski hills.
The first few times skiers started making their own bumps, they got hassled by patrol. Those skiers achieved a lot in getting big snow to start seeding them (currently every two weeks through November). Unless bumpers start rivaling the park rats in skier visits, I really don’t see them doing more than this. Especially when they don’t have a crew that can maintain them the way they do the park. It’s important to remember that their target clientele are first timers, and leaving an icy unmaintained bump line up for them doesn’t really make sense. Certainly not with the available space they have.
