I understand the frustration, but the industry has been moving away from these discount programs in favor of the "discount" multi-mountain pass for a long, long time. In this case Indy. Their rationale is that you are getting a discount with that pass. Also gone are the local ski shop ticket deals. A lot of those discount programs are gone. I have a friend who lives in Aspen and the Chamber of Commerce deal with the mountain has really been cut back and is really expensive.Super disappointed in black this year. They dropped out of the MWV chamber ski pass last week, when I bought my pass at the beginning of month they were still on it. I really enjoy the place. It’s always been part of that pass. Would meet my out town friends there who were on Indy. If you trying to start a co op, maybe try to not alienate the locals. Seems short sighted to me. Will miss going there this year
A bunch being you?I have no reason to buy Indy. I don’t need to travel to ski. For locals 2 days at a mtn is useless if you have travel an hour plus to ski day 3 and 4. Epic and boyne still honor the chamber pass. Black is standing on deaths door, you want locals to spread their love of the mtn. They just lost a bunch of people who might have bought into the co op or spend money in the bar.
Uh, not sure this is a good take. They basically closed last year and are trying to come back from the dead. I’d support any move they make right now to stay alive.A bunch of people buy the chamber pass. They sell out fast. And it is mostly locals with the chamber that ski there, tourists. want the big name. Most of the families I know have a season pass and the chamber pass. They won’t be buying day tickets there. The chamber does a good job advertising the MWV. They will no longer list black on any of their advertisements. If you are looking for people to buy into a co-op, maybe don’t get rid of one of your main sources of advertising. Black is still for sale, and this is another step closer to the end.
Edd, good point, trying to save a "dead" ski area... not easy.Uh, not sure this is a good take. They basically closed last year and are trying to come back from the dead. I’d support any move they make right now to stay alive.

Sounds like these questions are best asked to Black directly rather than in this thread.I already bought my chamber pass before black opted out. They had already committed to the chamber. Why would I pay for the same thing twice.
Best deal in the MWV for sureA bunch of people buy the chamber pass. They sell out fast. And it is mostly locals with the chamber that ski there, tourists. want the big name.
