Riding in the trails requires moving around on the saddle. For this reason, the Blackburn Orogen Saddle is slightly longer than most saddles, with a profile that makes it easy to feel supportive no matter what position you're in.
The Orogen features the same construction as the Ciento saddle. The Flexure3 base in this case helps to absorb road vibration while keeping you supported when you are in the saddle cruising the single track. Rather than using lightweight titanium rails like many road saddles do, Blackburn opted for the slightly heavier, but stronger chromoly for the Orogen.
To ensure flexibility with a variety of riding positions, the saddle features a rounded cross-section. This allows you to move freely on the saddle. It also means that your legs have room to move freely without getting caught on angular edges. The saddle is also 285mm long, which gives you extra room for fore and aft movement. A center channel helps to alleviate pressure on soft tissue areas, and the memory foam gives you a near-custom level of comfort as it molds to the shape of your sit bones. The cover is weather resistant synthetic leather that is easy to clean, even after it gets covered in mud.
