Hey All,
I'm back from a fun morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 740AM and the temperature was in the mid 20s under overcast skys. A minute later Atomic Jeff pulled in for his first time back at Blue since returning from Jackson Hole. First run was down Razors which was fresh cord and very nice..then it was closed off to the raceteam so we skied Challenge followed by Switchback. Then around 830AM we saw Moe Ghoul at the top of the 6-pack and we skied almost every trail..Paradise and Dreamweaver had really nice snow. Switchback was also really nice and there was some fresh powder with a little coating of ice skiers right of Barneys bumps..Crowds today were moderate..usually a 1-5 minute liftline on the quad or 6-pack. We even rode the Main Street chair once to sample Raceway and the Chute.
Around 10AM..the winds increased and it got chillier..there was a brief snow shower as well. We ran into Concussion Ted and I pulled a $20 bill from my wallet and offered to give it to him if he took me out of the database...no dice No Hans the woodman sightings on Paradise. Atomic Jeff left at around 1030AM and me and Moe continued with a few more runs down Dreamweaver and Lazy Mile...we left at 11:15AM and went directly to the Blue mountain drive inn. I had corned beef hash and eggs and Moe had the creamed chip beef..Moe took pictures of the food for stoke!!!! All in all it was a fun session at Blue..Snow conditions were 7 steezys out of 10, now it's time to drink beer and watch the Eagles game..
