Hey All,
I'm back from a fun solo session at Blue mountain. I arrived at 3:30PM and there were a few dozen cars in the lower lot. Atomic Jeff was leaving as I was booting up and I saw Rodney as well. If felt so nice to board the 6-pack for the first time since late March. I mainly skied Challenge which was frozen cord with a little sugar and some divots on the top but only a few death cookies..Home Stretch was soft sugar..not warm enough for mad applesauce with temperatures in the low to mid 30s. The trees at the top of the mountain were coated with ice.
Lazy mile was OK..a little choppy and some slick spots..I didn't make it over to Main Street or Raceway but I can imagine the bumps on Barneys are solid. After 14 runs for 14,700 vertical feet, my legs were starting to get tired from all the chop so I decided to call it a session and save my legs for tomorrow morning. I'll be back there tomorrow at 7:40AM...the sky is starting to clear and it looks like temperatures will dip down into the teens which should mean some good snowmaking production. I'm looking forward to having alot of people to ski with this weekend...
