Hey all,

I'm back from a short morning session at Blue mountain. Today was my first time skiing Blue since before I went to Jackson Hole in mid January. I arrived at the lower lot around 7:10AM and Justin arrived a few minutes later. It was the Suburu day and the first row by the fence was reserved for Subies. I split up from Justin right away as he was heading straight for the Sidewinder park. My first 5 runs I skied Challenge..the snow was smooth and really really fast with no death cookies. I was on my Elan S12s as my fat twins had not arrived from United airlines. The Elans handled well and were nimble weaving around all the Tom Dick and Harrys. Crowds were very light initially and Razors was closed for a race.

After skiing Challenge I saw Justin, Justo, Toast, and the RealKevinThomas at the top of the Sidewinder park. They were doing some filming. That run I went off the left take-off of the first of the three booters and knuckled on solid ice..mad Homer Simpson..Doh. Later I went back through the park and went off the right side which is farther forward and hit the sweet spot. The pipe was pretty much unrideable but the whoopdeedoos were fun in the lower park. I skied Switchback three times and it was really nice and not to many people on it. I rode the lift with Terry and his buddy and they said that they hope Atomic Jeff heals up fast. They were wondering where he's been. No Concussion Ted sightings..he must be in Utah. Lazy Mile and Paradise were also very good and wicked fast. Although the snow was icy..it was edgeable..On the lift I saw a racer fall at the top of Razors and slide down the entire top half. At around 9:55AM..my sprained thumb started bugging me and my left knee was still a little sore from Jackson Hole so I decided to leave. On my way out I saw Bob and Sexkitten who were going in to take a break.

I was planning on eating at the Blue mountain drive-inn but as I drove over the mountain, I received a phone call from United Airlines that they retrieved my ski bag. 25 minutes later, I met a United employee at my work to get my ski-bags...it's nice to have the Rossi Scratch Sprayer BCs back in my possession. Then I went to the grocery store and bought some beer...time to Chill...

I'll be back at Blue tomorrow morning..I'd like to ski a longer session than today. Hopefully it's not so windy and the sun comes out. I'm ready for another ski trip..lol
