Hey All,

I'm back from another session at Blue. Most of my sessions are sweet or mad steezy..and some of them are just O.K. Today was just O.K. There was alot of fresh manmade snow but about 4 times as much straight boilerplate ice..yikes. It was really crowded for a Friday afternoon..crowded enough that I didn't get my own chair once with both the six pack and quad running. They blew alot of snow on Challenge but unfortunately groomed it right away so it was straight up chunky..and crowded. Paradise had patrollers whistling at me on a weekday..and right at the end where I was only going about 15mph due to my dry ski bases and the new manmade..WTF. Lazy mile should have been called crazy mile. Main Street probably had the best snow on the hill...and the little section of Sidewinder that's open off of Lazy Mile was the only part of the mountain that wasn't crowded. I don't know where all the people came from..I was expecting the mountain to be quiet and half of the lower lot was full..The guns were blasting on the skiercross..halfpipe..Valley school west..and Razors. Not a drop of snow has been blown on Switchback and Razors doesn't have much snow down.

I was only there for about 2 hours at the most. It was too crowded to ski fast so I stuck to making lots of short turns in the sugar on the sides of the trails. On my way to get scanned in, I saw Rodney grilling in the parking lot. On my way out I saw Jim and Epicski bruce sitting on a bench by the funnel cake stand. Bruce was saying that one of his friends wants to buy Atomic Jeffs ski pass. He also said that he wants to visit Jeff. He was taking a break due to boot issues.

Funniest moment of the day. I was riding the lift with a skier who pointed at someone on Snowlerblades and asked,"How are those short skis"...I said,"They rock, I wish I had them out today because they're great when it's icy"..He then asked me how if I liked Snowlerblading as much as skiing and I said," They rock because they're so light and manueverable"..Then I said real loud and pissed off,"Dammit Doug..why did you leave your blades at home"...hahahahahaha...I skied 10 runs...that's all..and I averaged about 5-6 runs per hour. I'm looking forward to the return of spring conditions again..enough with the dust on crust...I want hero snow...Holla
