Get yourself to a boot fitter.

eBay! That is what I did. Found a brand new pair of X-Wave 10s to replace my aging model. After a long enough wait, I found a brand new pair for $200 (since it is an outdated model, prices should be low if you can find your size). I think the X-Wave may have been replaced by the Impact in Salomon's lineup, so that is your next option. If you are going with a different boot, then you really should visit a shop and try some boots on as different manufacturers and even different lines within a given manufacturer can vary greatly in fit.

The last year that the X-wave was the current boot I tried on a pair and LOVED the fit of them. It was towards the end of the year and I was not a fan of the color, so I decided to buy the next model year. The Impact was released and I hated them. Even though Salomon claimed they fit identically I was very unhappy wearing them.
