Resort or Ski Area: Bromley

Conditions: pp wet snow

Trip Report: ok magic had no lifts running. I wanted to honestly cry but what can you do. decided just to go up the road and make a day of it at bromley. Thankfully i ended up running into the evils. great people, they made my day. ended basically skiing a lightly gladed mellow run all day. top 1/3 of the mtn was completely socked in so the east side wasnt real good. no visibility and no blue ribbon quad either. what the heck, it was fun though. we tooled around on the glade ( i think that is the actual name) pretty much all day. lots of different little things to play around on. heres a you tube video. i chose this song cause i felt like magic was turning its back on us. I dont mean that in a vicious way, just that you could see it, teasing us, tempting us. yet......NO SOUP FOR YOU.

thanks again evils, your company was awesome.

video cooking now.

Yeah, like I said in the other thread, I'm glad you guys met up. After you called I was almost going to call the Evils to try and get you guys hooked up, but then I was too lazy and I got this thing about not liking to use phones (yeah I'm screwed up). I'm glad it worked out in spite of me...

Can't wait to see the video.

I gotta get back to Bromley one of these days, I've only been a few times as a newb...

Two marked runs right next to each other: Glade and Everglade. Glade is the blue trail directly to skier's left with just a few trees here and there, mostly towards the bottom. Everglade is more of a tree run and feels like thinned out woods. The two trails kinda blend into each other and it's easy to bop in and out. Can't wait to see your vid -- I was there today too (prolly saw you) and hit Everglade and Glade about two/three times each. Both were soft and sweet.

Hated grinding through the fog to get to 'em but what're you gonna do? Like you said, I kinda took it as an opportunity to just randomly tool around for fun -- did dunno how many runs on the Plaza course too just to be random.

I thought the fog was kinda fun. Alex and I kept playing in a small glade off of Thruway. Couldn't keep her out of it. We also had some nice runs down Pushover.

fog was disorientating at times for me. i wouldve loved to spend some time on havoc and stargazer but the fog went almost 1/2 way down the east side. still a fun time though. too bad we didnt hook up, sounds like we were skiing the same stuff all day.

LOL nice choice of song! Yeah, yesterday morning I was in such a horrible mood. Really glad Tim and I met up with you for the day- ended up having a blast. Bromley is a fun place- will be sure to check it out again in the future. Thanks for the vid!

Had to say the drive home was the worst part of the day, because right there on 11 for a good stretch of road was Miss Magic herself, staring you in the face :(

See, I went down 30, so we went past Stratton instead. Felt pretty good seeing that and thinking about how smart we were for saving a ton o' cash.:-D

Totally. We only did the 1/2 day by the time we got there. So we were there from 12:30 until around 3:30. Although it wasn't very crowded, I have no idea how you folks were able to bump into each other.

That glade looks a LOT nicer than the small one Alex and I played in. She darted through with no problems (100cm skis might help that) I, on the other hand..... Well, at least my leg held-up, so I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Nice video Pat. Looks like a fun day, wish I could have went. Those trees looked fun to play in and the snow appeared to be nice.

Marge, I'm gonna sew some neon pink patches to your knees so that we can see that you actually have legs in the videos. It's pretty funny how well they blend in...

Nice vid. I'm seeing some greatly improved skiing out of both Evils in there. Pat, as usual tearing it up. Looks like a nice glade!

Very impressive video Pat. Great song. Guess I was lucky I wasn't able to make Magic. Probably wouldn't have headed to Bromley, not that I don't like the place.

funny i was sitting in the parking lot at magic debating where to go. thought about killington, had a voucher to okemo, maybe mt. snow etc. but nothing was gonna fill the tank like magic would've anyway so i just chose the closest option.

It was dumb luck! We just purchased out lift tickets and as we were walking away from the ticket booth towards the lodge when Randi though she saw Pat standing in line. But neither of us were sure as we met him for the first time last week at Sundown on Bump night. But it was so cold out that night everyones face were all covered up. She only recognized him by his coat.

I am very glad it worked out this way, Pat was a blast to ski with for the day.

Thanks, Greg. :) I don't know about Timmy, but I certainly had an interesting time trying to keep up with Pat all day. Think the day made a better skier out of me :)
