Anyone notice in VT when you see a sign “frost heave/bump” they mean it???? While taking my dogs to doggy day care this morning (really) there was a “bump” sign with big orange barrels to slow down traffic. Doesn’t work because it really isn’t that big or bad so people just fly right over the darn thing. BUT, in VT they friggin mean it!!!! I remember while living on the MT Rd (RT 108) in Smuggs it was free entertainment watching some of these cars hit these things. Sometimes rear wheels would come right off the ground. There was one right in front of our house one year. We would actually sit on the porch, drink beer and just watch peeps launch off this thing. Anyway, I found it funny how the same sign can mean totally different things in different states.

Maine too. You can run into some wicked frost heaves on the way to Sugarloaf.
