Hit Burke at 10:30 Saturday morning (let it warm up out of the negative temps). Great cruising day under a blue bird sky and NO wind. The groomers were skiing excellent but the woods were still a bit scratchy. East Bowl was awsome as well. I wish it was always ungroomed. Since he likes going fast so much, GSS has to get to Burke some day and scream down Dippers, Willoughby, or Warren's Way. Think 60+ mph is not out of the question and you won't get yelled at by patrol (granted you are not blind hucking the head walls). Still needed a least a foot of snow to open Middle Foxes and the West side glades.

I wasn't planning on skiing Sunday but when the forcast 1" turned into 8+ I had to go. I was only able to stay for 4 runs but I made them worth it. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

Where is everyone?

Looks sick. 90% sure that'll be my home mountain next year. Having that 10 minutes up the road will be so nice.

Not yet but c'mon, it's Lyndon. If I can get accepted to UMass but not there there's a problem, especially considering my guidance counselor used 2 paragraphs gloating my fascination about weather haha. Lyndon's rolling admissions and I got my stuff in last Friday so I should know within a week or two.

LSC has a great Met program and is a great location for skiing. Burke of course is right there and Cannon and Jay are both within an hour. You shouldn't have to worry much about admissions to LSC if you were accepted to UMass. Have fun up there!

Definitely no worries about admission at Lyndon. I would recommend getting your passport if you don't already have it. Montreal is 2.5 hours away (depending on the border) and soooo much fun. I haven't been to Mount Orford yet, but I have heard nothing but good things, and it's only a little more than an hour away.

Thanks for fixing my pic Trailboss. I posted the report and left work without reviewing it.

LSC's a good choice for Met. or Ski Resort Managment. Great view of the mountain fom campus (although the trails are out of view).

For some reason Burke has this stigma of being a "Little Area". Sure it doesn't have 100 trails but it defiitely skis bigger than the 45 official named trails and has 2000' of vert.

No problem. One of my "connections" has given me two tickets to Burke. I also have a half-price voucher, so I need to plan my trip up there. A Dawn Patrol Reunion is in the works....
