Paid my first-ever visit to Burke today with my sons and a friend of my younger son. What a blast - even though Burke hasn't had any snow in a few days and they groom edge-to-edge on many trails, we had fun on pleasant packed powder and especially in the woods. It was gratifying to see my boys and their companion skiing so well and without hesitation, even in some fairly challenging double-black glades.

ROTDs were Sasquatch, Caveman and Birches. And even while the boys were doing their thing in the terrain park on the lower part of the mountain I was blasting nice patches of lightly tracked or even untracked on the edges.

Weather was great, moderately cold and mostly sunny in the morning, warming to just shy of freezing as clouds moved in during the afternoon. I'm very bummed by the weather moving in now but glad we got a great day in beforehand.

Maybe a video or some screengrabs later/tomorrow.

Pretty good, they tell me - kinda small but interesting features. They aren't hardcore park rats and I wouldn't say they've had a tremendous amount of exposure to terrain parks but currently the gold standard in their minds is Sunapee.

What did you think of the Sunday crowds?
Crowds? What crowds? The quad to the top never had more than maybe a minute wait; the HSQ down below maybe 2 minutes, tops (with good traffic control to maximize uphill capacity). Rarely saw other skiers/boarders in the glades.
