Well I finally got back on the hill yesterday. It wasn’t a typical day of hitting up the bumps all day but it was nice just to get the skis back on. I took my 4y/o skiing at Butternut. I haven’t been there in about 15 years but it was just how I remembered it. The conditions were great. For the most part it was groomed pack powder with a top coat of the man made fluff. Breckin and I skied for about 4 hours. He was a little tentative the first couple of runs but after that he started picking up the speed.

The last couple of runs he wanted to ski black diamonds. Granted the blacks at Butternut are not all that steep but he had a huge ear to ear grin when he got to the bottom with out any wipe outs. He even did a little bit of tree skiing. Here is a quick vid.

BTW after skiing yesterday I think I am still a couple weeks away from being 100% and able to ski the bumps. The ribs are still pretty sore and I don’t think they would like the pounding of bump skiing. I should be back at it just in time to test out the Gunny bumps.
