I think its going to be a bad idea to not try the ski out before buying.

When a deal is not a deal....

Always buy our gear online and have never experienced any issues. I try to read reviews and tech specs before I purchase. Not one board or pair of planks in our house have ever been tested before either and all purchased online. However, I have been interested in skiing demos for the hell of it.

So you dont know the difference. No argument there, but if you did demo, I'm willing to bet you'd find a ski you'd like more.

There's always that risk, but the reward is being able to buy whatever ski is the best deal, rather than the best deal that you've happened to have tried out before.

On the otherhand, I can just have Puck It! vet the skis for me.

I would have to agree! In the past, waiting around for the binding adjustments and standing in line on a nice day have been put offs and I have bailed. May this year! For online purchases, we generally adjust to the ski and learn to ski the fun out of it!
