Resort or Ski Area: Camelback Mountain Resort

Conditions: Packed Powder, A little corn, and Bumps

Trip Report: Had to go to Camelback today to pick up my equipment for a journey to Vermont this weekend and while I was there got in 2 hours worth of skiing. Probably for the first time this season it starting to feel like spring in the Poconos. The east side was closed in preperation for the weekend but that didn't bother me as it was nice to ski the original area. Management actually did a good job by opening the Marc Antony chair making the middle of the mountain quite skiable. There was a thin layer of high clouds which blunted the sun a little which was probably a good thing as the snow was soft but not mashed potatos. Did about 15 runs. The base is in really good and deep. Everything that was groomed was softening nicely and really fun but as always I headed for the bumps on Lower Cleo and Asp. Lower Cleo bumps were in pretty good shape. Asp probably could have used 5 degrees more in temperature and were a little bit jarring but overall in good shape. A really fun 2 hours and good prep for the weekend. I do have pictures but don't have the time to download them right now.
